Today I had the opportrunity to visit my home church and not coincidentally the topic of my pastor’s sermon like mine was, “Trust In the Lord”. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your path.”
If we know the Lord-I mean really know Him and His character we will trust in Him. We will trust Him with the little things and the big things. But we can not say we trust Him if we do not give everything to Him!
It has been my sincere pleasure and honor to share in this 21 Day Consecration with you. Your prayers and words have been a source of inspiration and encouragement. I pray that you have experienced the glory of God and your faith has been strengthened.
As we continue our walk beyond this fast know that the Lord has heard your prayers and He has seen your heart.
And no matter what, trust in the Lord!

As we come to just about the end of our 21-Days of Consecration I just wanted to share a simple reminder with you to be in prayer for one another. Throughout the bible we are implored to be in prayer for one another. In Mark 13:33 we are told to “watch and pray, for you know not when the time is.”
The bible is also filled with prayers! We are of course given the model for praying with the Lord’s Prayer. One of the best reasons to pray for someone else however is for their salvation. One of my favorite examples of prayers is found in Ephesians 1. “Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers: that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.” (Ephesians 1:15-16)
Their is nothing that can possibly impact the lives of our friends familes, and acquaintences more than to know God through a relationship with His son Jesus Christ. Where would I be without the prayers of my grandmother and family members, who prayed for me long before I knew Christ? I am thankful for their prayers
Pray without ceasing and pray for one another!

Sorry I missed you all on yesterday-as much as we have come to rely on them, computers still show us just how imperfect they are!
We are almost there-completing another part of our journey. I pray that the Lord has kept you and you are feeling stronger and more powerful in the Lord. My prayer is also that whatever struggle has been lingering and that you have been unsure about, you have presented to the Lord, trusting and knowing that He will show you the way.
The Bible says in Prov 14:12, “There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death.” We must never go on how things appear but on the word of God. Ask God to continue to close doors that need to be closed and open doors that need to be opened, so that you may be sure of what He is speaking to you. One way of knowing with certainty if something is not right for you is if it taking you further from God, and please know that anything or anyone that takes you away or out of the will of God is leading you toward death.
Keep walking, keep praying and keep seeking!

I love the story story of Deborah the lone female Judge recorded in the book of Judges. When I think about Debroah I think of someone who was in their lane. She was a woman of depth and wisdom who wore many hats, but never got flustered-in fact she conducted business while sitting under a palm tree!
Many of us spend countless years trying to find our lane. Where is it that God has called you to be or what is it that God has called you to do? Do you have the willingness and courage to do it. Many times we say we want the Lord to order our steps but then we are not obedient to what He has told us to do. The Lord commanded Barak a cohort of Deborah to raise an army against their enemies but he flat out said he would not do it unless she came with him! (Judges 4) She in turn told him that he would not get any glory becuase of his decision.
When God gives you instruction -be obedient and listen to His word, for His glory!

Today I just want to share with you a scripture to encourage you to keep going. I pray that you will meditate on it and trust in the word of the Lord: “I would have lost heart unless I had believed, that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.”
Stay encouraged!

Today I had two experiences in which I knew without a doubt that the Lord was with me. I knew that He was with me not because everything was going my way. It was quite the contrary. I knew that He was with me because I quite simply was in the midst of what seemed like a “Mission Impossible”!
Just as the Lord allowed David to emerge victorious over Goliath, I knew that as I faced my own giants that He was there with me!
God allows us to go through and to be in situations -where as I heard a pastor say that we can’t do anything so that He can do everything!
No matter what it is your facing remember that with God, nothing shall be impossible! (Luke 1:37)

Believe it or not we are now officially in the last week of the fast. I pray that these past two weeks dedicated to the Lord have been well spent.
As many of us have experienced financial challenges in the midst of the country’s economic downturn, we have instinctively gone back to basics. We’ve cut out and cut back on the things that we really didn’t need, and turned to what is most important to us-our faith and our family.
I started thinking about what are the basics of being a Christian, what is it that truly sets you on a different path after you have accepted Christ as your savior? It is love.
Often repeated at weddings I Corinthians 13:4-8 says, “Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek it’s own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails…”
How do you love those who seem unlovable? Continue to read God’s word which will teach you how He loves you and how you should love others, and ask Him to give you a heart for His people.
If you have stumbled in your love walk , as we all sometimes do-get back on track, get back to basics, and get back to love!

Why are you fasting? I am sure you have a very personal reason. And even if you haven’t shared it with others I pray that you have let the Lord know why. You may have more than one reason, and perhaps it may have to do with transformation. You are desiring that the Lord make you or some part of your character over, so that part of your being is no longer known or recognized. Do you believe that this can happen? I am telling you that it can.
I have often shared with members of the church, how every now and then I will get a message on Facebook or one of the other social media outlets and someone will say, “You look like someone I once knew, is that you?” Sometimes the answer has been yes! And I smile to myself because I understand that it is truly the work of the Lord, that He has indeed made me a new being!
In 2 Corinthians 3:18 the word says, “But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.”
What a beautiful and encouraging word! To know that the Lord is working on, in and through us! But let us not miss a key element of this scripture that says, “with unveiled face” . We must put down all false pretenses, and show ourselves to God.
It is only when we go behind the veil that true transformation can take place.

My apologies for missing Day 11-my heart was willing but my computer was uncooperative. As we move toward the mid-point of our fast I pray that the Lord is moving mightily in your life. Today someone shared a card twith me that they had received and it simply said, “Have Faith”. It is such a simple message, but sometimes so hard to do especially when your vision may not be matching wp with the provision you may feel is needed!
The scripture says in Hebrews 12:2, “Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
Today, I simply tell you to have faith! If Jesus is the author and perfecter of our faith, that means no matter what the problem, He has already worked it out!

Today was one of those days when I woke up just before dawn and was intensely hungry. To be honest with you feeling this type of hunger threw me for a loop. After all we are at almost the 1/2 way point, and I thought I had adjusted to the physical symptons of the fast. In short-I thought I was past this!
Isn’t if funny how God has a way of continuously letting us know that it is only by His grace, that we are able to do anything? No matter how far you go or how together you believe yourself to be-at the end of the day we must totally rely on His grace and mercy to hold everything together for us.
So no matter how difficult submitting yourself to God may be during this time of consecration, know that His grace is sufficient. (2 Corinthians 12:9)
